Communication from WDNA
Hi everyone, it has been a whirlwind of a lead-up to the start of our domestic competition but we are finally there. Looking forward to seeing you there tomorrow.

There are several items that are important for the smooth running of round one:
1. The Coffee Cart. Due to ill health, Gary has just advised that he is not able to return. It is sad to see him leave after so many years. But, this means no coffee for tomorrow and for a couple of weeks until we find a replacement. Gary is planning on selling the Coffee Cart and will provide training if you know anyone that might be interested. I have some details about the machine (sale price $10K).

2. The weather. Depending on what day you look at the forecast for tomorrow, the weather started at 32, dropped to 26 a couple of days ago, up to 28 yesterday, and now 30 today. In preparation for the hot day and taking into consideration that a number of our players are just getting back into sport, we will run the afternoon games on 9-minute quarters with 1-minute quarter-time breaks and a 3-minute half-time break. We have attached the Individual preparation for sport in hot weather flyer from VicSport for you to distribute to your community (see link in FILES)

3. Scoring and player attendance. Attached is a draft document that you can distribute to your scorers, team managers, and coaches. Please remember if anyone is having any trouble please get them to come up to the control box before the end of the game so we can sort it out. Tamica will be with us in the morning so there will be plenty of help. All player attendance must be recorded each game.

4. Carpark update. The date for tenders was pushed out to 14 February. Ashwood High School hopes to have appointed someone by the end of this month and then we will have some more information on when the work will start. I have attached a map of the area and what street parking is available.

For those teams joining us on Sunday morning for the new umpire assessment morning, we are working on getting information out tonight.
